Rightclick on desktop -> Active Desktop -> Show Icons Make sure it's unchecked.

My favorite practical joke... I took a screenshot of my buddy's desktop and set it as his wallpaper. Then I deleted all his icons (all that I could, anyway) and set the taskbar to auto-hide. It took IT half the day to try to figure out why most of the icons, and the start menu, wouldn't work. |
